Had a fantastic late night happy hour at Charlie Palmer’s this past weekend. This wine bar & restaurant is quietly situated at the corner of Bloomingdale’s in the South Coast Plaza mall. As we walked through the glass doors we followed an illuminated pathway that led to the bar/lounge area. The ambiance was intimate and modern. The waitress was extremely nice and attentive. The happy hour specials are half price glasses of wine, including champagne. In addition, there’s a cocktail menu if you don’t feel like wine and an appetizer menu that features delicious Kobe beef sliders. This is how and when happy hour should be.
